Savage Arms’ Minimalist Rifles Redefine Rimfire

WESTFIELD, Massachusetts – June 4, 2020 – From the diminutive power of the Rascals, to the potential offered by the new Precision Series, Savage Arms knows rimfire. Now Savage is redefining rimfire style with Minimalist—a distinctly different stock design for the Mark II, 93 and 93R17 rifles.

is pleased to introduce Minimalist, a distinctly different take on the classic rimfire design. Minimalist combines a laminate stock for lightweight strength with several additional features for excellent usability in the field. With its button rifled barrel and user-adjustable AccuTrigger, the bolt-action Minimalist delivers Savage accuracy. Minimalist rifles are offered in 22 LR, 22 WMR, and 17 HMR.

“Minimalist takes Savage rimfire in a new direction,” said Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing for Savage. “The laminated stocks are ideal for older youth and adult shooters, yet the rifle weighs only 5.68 pounds. If you’re looking for a new option for plinking or hunting small game, Minimalist delivers.”

Above Minimalist’s carbon steel action, a Weaver-style base is pre-installed. Make the most of cost-effective rimfire rounds by topping these bolt-actions with a scope or red-dot and the rifle will be ready for the range.

Ready for the Most Demanding Hunts: Savage Arms RENEGAUGE Waterfowl

WESTFIELD, Massachusetts – June 2, 2020 – Waterfowl hunters face demanding conditions. Savage Arms has risen to this challenge with their new 12 gauge: Renegauge Waterfowl. This semi-automatic sets a new standard for the fit and function of a hunting shotgun and is finished in Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Blades camo.

“The Renegauge Waterfowl is proof of Savage’s commitment to American sportsmen and women,” Jessica Treglia, Sr. Brand Manager at Savage Arms, said. “We’ve been working on the gun for several years, making sure every aspect worked efficiently and reliably. Wingshooters go through hell to get the perfect shot, and these new Savages will deliver.”

Renegauge Waterfowl has oversized controls that allow shooters to operate the gun efficiently, even with gloved hands. The shotgun has been tested under rigorous real-world hunting conditions and the action will cycle any shells from 3” Magnums to 2 ¾” target rounds. The D.R.I.V. system ensures excess gas vents before it drives the bolt, resulting in consistent ejection, less felt recoil, and a blistering cyclic rate for follow-up shots.

Renegauge Waterfowl’s stock allows for both large and small adjustments to the fit of the gun. The stock has interchangeable recoil pads and cheek risers. It also comes with shims that help fine-tune minute adjustments. There are 20 different ways that Renegauge can be set up, giving each individual shooter complete control over how they interact with the gun. The stock can even be adjusted to accommodate seasonal changes in clothing density.

With the addition of the Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Blades camouflage, Renegauge Waterfowl isn’t easily seen, yet the gun’s exceptional reliability and adaptability make this a clear win for wingshooters.

Savage Arms’ Lean 110 Ultralite Now Shipping

WESTFIELD, Massachusetts – May 28, 2020 – Savage’s Model 110 action has proven to be a versatile platform. Now the classic bolt-action has been refined to its most essential elements and built into a rifle that comes in just under six pounds. From its spiral-fluted bolt and skeletonized receiver, to the carbon fiber wrapped barrel from PROOF Research®, the 110 Ultralite is the ideal rifle for those who hike long distances to take the perfect shot—and the guns are shipping now.

“The 110 Ultralite is a highly refined Model 110,” Jessica Treglia, Sr. Brand Manager at Savage Arms, said. “Our engineers have gone to great lengths to strip weight off the rifle, without sacrificing any of its functionality or accuracy. The svelte 110 Ultralite is designed to combat elevation and elements while maintaining the performance of a factory blueprinted Savage 110 action. The carbon fiber wrapped stainless steel barrel and Melonite skeletonized receiver reduce weight, but are equally protective.

The polymer stock is built with Savage’s AccuFit™ technology, which allows for easy adjustments to length-of-pull and comb height to provide hunters with optimum fit and performance. The user-adjustable AccuTrigger™ allows crisp, clean shots to close out successful hunts.
