Savage Arms IMPULSE Wins Guns & Ammo Rifle of the Year

WESTFIELD, MassachusettsOctober 26, 2021 – Savage Arms is proud to announce that IMPULSE has been selected as the Rifle of the Year by Guns & Ammo Magazine. The American-made straight-pull rifle was chosen for the award by editors, contributors, and staff of the magazine.

“To win Rifle of the Year is humbling,” said Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing at Savage Arms. “The competition for the 2021 award was fierce. In this crowded field, though, IMPULSE stands alone. The speed of IMPULSE’s straight-pull action has changed the way Americans think about hunting rifles. This design combines everything Savage has learned about accuracy and reliability with innovation that provides marksmen and women with new capabilities. The Guns & Ammo Rifle of the Year award is a welcome recognition of Savage’s leadership in this industry.”

“The Savage IMPULSE pushed Savage rifles to a new level in 2021 and proved their dedication to technology and safety,” Guns & Ammo editors noted. “Creating a unique, reliable rifle is never easy, but the IMPULSE combines the innovative features of other Savage rifles along with Hexlock bolt technology that provided a fast, safe, and accurate shot. This rifle was designed to attract hunters of all types through versatile features and load compatibilities. Each model delivers on their promise of speed and range.”

“During Guns & Ammo’s evaluation, we determined that Savage Arms succeeded in producing a rifle that yields exceptional precision and accuracy,” they added. “Dressed in OD Green and variations of camouflage, IMPULSE is an American-made gun that stands out amongst the competition.”

The Rifle of the Year award is a testament to IMPULSE’s success, range, and versatility and is a milestone for the company. Savage’s RENEGAUGE Guns & Ammo’s Shotgun of the Year in 2020, and IMPULSE’s award marks the first time a company has won Guns & Ammo annual awards in consecutive years in different categories.

Savage’s IMPULSE rifles are currently in stock at dealers across the country.

IMPULSE is currently available in three configurations:

IMPULSE Big Game: With versatility and power, IMPULSE big game is a tool for one-shot drops and fast follow-ups.

IMPULSE Predator: With speed and do-it-all potential, IMPULSE Predator is an advantage for anyone hunting atop the food chain.

Savage Arms Announces New Configurations for Fall 2021

Westfield, Massachusetts – September 1, 2021 – Savage Arms is pleased to announce six new firearm configurations. These additions add versatility to the venerable 110 line, new configurations for Precision rimfire shooters, and a robust new tactical build for Renegauge. All six of these new releases will be shipping soon.

“Here at Savage, we are constantly working to bring our customers what they want,” Jessica Treglia, Sr. Brand Manager at Savage Arms, said. “Today we’re launching six new configurations, and there’s something here for everyone. From the addition of a left-handed model to the exceptionally popular 110 Ultralite, to the new defensive potential of Renegauge Security, to the possibilities we’re unlocking with Precision rimfire rifles, Savage delivers.”

Renegauge Security

The American made Savage Renegauge can handle high-brass and low-recoil shells with the same dependability. The patented D.R.I.V. (Dual Regulating Inline Valve) gas system vents excess gas before it drives the bolt, resulting in consistent ejection, less felt recoil, and a lightning-fast cyclic rate. And now, Renegauge has been built to maximize the potential of its action for self-defense and tactical applications.

A22 Precision Lite

Accuracy, performance, and balance—three ingredients for the perfect rimfire rifle. The semi-automatic A22 Precision Lite is built to ring steel at challenging distances. These rifles feature an exclusive Modular Driven Technologies (MDT®) one-piece aluminum chassis with an adjustable cheek riser and length-of-pull spacers for the perfect fit. The precision button-rifled barrel is upgraded with a carbon fiber wrap for optimum balance and heat dissipation. The carbon fiber heavy barrel profile and aluminum stock allow for a perfectly center-balanced rimfire rifle. Paired with the user-adjustable AccuTrigger, this rifle is ready to compete right out of the box.

B-Series Precision Lite

The bolt action B-Series Precision Lite models are perfectly balanced rifles for target shooting. The B-Series action is housed in an exclusive Modular Driven Technologies (MDT®) one-piece aluminum chassis with an adjustable cheek riser and length-of-pull spacers. Like the new A22 Precision Lite, this B-Series rimfire has a button-rifled barrel with a carbon fiber wrap. The carbon fiber heavy barrel profile and aluminum stock allow for a perfectly center-balanced rimfire rifle. The new rifles will be available in .22 LR, .17 HMR, and .22 WMR.

110 Ultralite Left Hand

Savage teamed up with PROOF Research® to craft the ideal barrel for a purpose-driven firearm. At 6 pounds and under, the 110 Ultralite combats elevation and elements while maintaining the performance of a factory blueprinted Savage 110 action. The carbon fiber wrapped stainless steel barrel and melonite skeletonized receiver are now available with an action built for south-paws. The rifle comes equipped with Savage’s AccuFit™ technology with adjustable length-of-pull and comb height and the user-adjustable AccuTrigger allows crisp, clean shots to close out successful hunts.
