Stevens 560 Shotguns Bring Value, Performance

WESTFIELD, Massachusetts – July 10, 2023 – Savage Arms announced today that the Stevens 560 Shotguns are now available across the country. These value-driven firearms give hunters, competitive and recreational shooters multiple options for the range or the field. The 560 is a semi-automatic shotgun offered in 12 gauge with two barrel length and stock options.

The newest line of shotguns is designed to be a workhorse in the blind, with a distinguished style and look a great bonus. Experienced and new shotgunners will enjoy the reliably-cycling field and compact shotguns that are equally at home shooting clays all day or walking endless upland fields.

“These 560s are a worthy addition to our lineup and any hunter or shooter’s gun safe,” said Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing for Savage. “These guns will run all day, are available in a few different options to accommodate all shooters and look great too. With summer in full swing, it’s not too early to pick up a 560 and hit the range to get ready for hunting season.”

The Stevens 560 Field semi-automatic shotgun is available in both full-size and compact models with added features like a raised ventilated rib with mid bead and front fiber optic sight. This gas operated shotgun with oversized controls is a great, hardworking option.

Savage Arms® Continues Partnership with Pass It On – Outdoor Mentors

WESTFIELD, Massachusetts – July 5th, 2023 – Savage Arms announces its continued partnership with Pass It On – Outdoor Mentors. The 501(c)-3 nonprofit is dedicated to its mission of providing mentorship and resources to children interested in outdoor sports. The organization’s goal is to immediately increase the number of outdoorsmen and women today, so that the industry, and its conservation efforts, have a support system in place to thrive in the future. Savage supports Pass It On – Outdoor Mentors to support more growth towards the shared mission values of conservation, safety and community.

“Pass It On – Outdoor Mentors encompasses everything Savage strives to support as they educate kids on the experiences, safety and ethical practices of the outdoor sports world,” said Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing for Savage Arms. “A safe and ethical outdoorsman or woman is a responsible firearm owner, and these mentors work diligently to provide guidance. We’re happy to support their efforts as they mentor a new generation of outdoorsmen and women.”

Pass It On – Outdoor Mentors meet their mission goals by organizing events, fundraising and bolstering community support across the United States. In the last year, the organization more than doubled the number of hunts they organized, engaging over 1,000 youth. In addition to this success, Pass It On – Outdoor Mentors and their Shooting Sports Outreach Program has had great results. This program partners mentors with state high school shooting programs, and has helped to continue to invigorate a growing sport while also introducing more participants into the outdoor world.

“Continued support from Savage Arms is greatly appreciated. Their generosity will equip us to push our mission forward and reach the goals we have set for the year,” said Brittany French, CEO for the Pass It On – Outdoor Mentors. “When we all work together to try to move the needle in this industry, great things can happen. Savage Arms is an incredible partner to serve youth in the outdoors.”

Award-Winning Stevens 334 Rifles Now Available

WESTFIELD, Massachusetts – June 26, 2023 – Savage Arms is now shipping the 334 Stevens Rifles that debuted earlier this year. Both the Walnut and Synthetic models are now shipping nationwide. The Walnut version chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor also recently drew high praise in the annual and extensive Outdoor Life gun test.

With a two-stage adjustable trigger, the Stevens 334 bolt action rifle comes in a Turkish Walnut stock option with a silver bolt or a black synthetic stock with a matte black action to match. This rifle is offered in three popular calibers with a 60-degree bolt lift to allow faster loading on follow up shots, making it a suitable rifle option for any hunter or shooter.

The response to these rifles by retailers has been strong, and Savage expects to see large numbers of these rifles on ranges this summer and in the woods this fall. Outdoor Life further legitimized these value-driven rifles in their most recent gun test. Held each year, there are no favorites, shortcuts or edit buttons in this all-out test of the latest rifles the industry has to offer. Amongst its peers (and several priced significantly higher), the 334 performed extraordinarily and took home the “Great Buy, Hunting Rifle” award.

“The Stevens 334 Walnut was the most surprising gun of the rifle test,” wrote Outdoor Life Shooting Editor John B. Snow. “While the stock is nice enough, the metalwork and design of the action is basic—though in keeping with the rifle’s modest $489 price tag.”

“But handsome is as handsome does, and the Stevens 334 charmed the entire test team once we started shooting it for accuracy. Its five-shot groups averaged less than ¾ MOA, making it one of the most accurate rifles of the test, and easily the most accurate hunting rifle we evaluated. It shoots way better than it has any right to, was our collective takeaway.”

The Stevens 334 Rifles pack features and performance into an affordable and reliable rifle. They are available in several make-sense calibers and can be found nationwide.
