Winchester Repeating Arms® Taking Full Advantage of NEW TrueTimber® Prairie Camo on Multiple Guns in 2020

INMAN, S.C. – July 7, 2020 – Winchester Repeating Arms has announced multiple firearms are now available in TrueTimber’s NEW Prairie Camo. Models that have featured TrueTimber Strata in the past, including the popular SX4 and SXP, can now be found in the Prairie pattern as well. Originally designed as an abstract waterfowl pattern, Prairie has quickly gained traction outside the wetlands, blinds, marshes and sloughs. Prairie can easily transition from open flatlands to the turkey woods to open desert terrain and from the tree stand to the duck blind without missing a beat.

“We are really excited to see all of these Winchester guns sporting TrueTimber camo this year and we love the lineup,” said TrueTimber CEO Rusty Sellars. “Everybody knows the Winchester name, and everyone knows they deliver top of the line products that perform above the rest time after time. Our new Prairie pattern is really taking the waterfowl community by storm and we think the combination of these guns mixed with Prairie is going to have a big impact on hunters in any setting they might encounter.”

Winchester SX4

The Winchester SX4 series has a worldwide reputation for speed, reliability and handling. The new Super X4 is lighter, faster cycling, smoother swinging and more ergonomic than ever. The SX4 Hybrid Hunter features Prairie camo on the stock and forearm paired with a Flat Dark Earth (FDE) Cerakote finish on the receiver and barrel. The SX4 Hybrid Hunter is also available in TrueTimber Strata.

Winchester SXP Hunter

The Winchester SXP Hunter is lightweight, has a centered balance and delivers instant pointability. The Super X design provides users faster follow-up shots utilizing an inertia-assisted slide-action that can deliver three shots in half a second. The SXP is available in multiple configurations utilizing TrueTimber camo. The SXP Waterfowl Hunter features a complete Prairie camo finish on the stock, forearm, barrel and receiver. The SXP Hybrid Hunter offers Prairie camo on the stock and forearm paired with a Flat Dark Earth (FDE) Cerakote finish on the receiver and barrel. The SXP Hybrid Hunter is also available in TrueTimber Strata.

Winchester SXP Defender

The Winchester SXP Defender features a shorter, 18” barrel, paired with the same reliability and speed the SXP is known for to deliver a well-rounded defense shotgun. The SXP Defender is offered in both TrueTimber Strata and Viper Urban options for a diverse set of applications.

Winchester XPR Hunter

The Winchester XPR Hunter delivers a high-performance hunting rifle at an extremely affordable price. This rifle features hardened steel components, a superior M.O.A. MLF® and TrueTimber® Return to Competition for Bass Pro Tour Heavy Hitters Event on the Kissimmee Chain

INMAN, S.C. – June 4, 2020 – The Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour is returning to action this weekend on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes in Florida following Stage Three presented by TrueTimber which concluded March 18. The announcement comes after the restructuring of the schedule due to COVID-19 restrictions. This Heavy Hitters event will take place June 7-12 and will feature all 80 MLF Pros fighting for the $745,000 in prize money. TrueTimber anglers Edwin Evers and David Dudley will be in the pack looking to regain traction as competition resumes, fighting for valuable points in the hunt for the REDCREST Championship.

The traditionally eight stage MLF Bass Pro Tour, has been reduced to five stages after successfully completing three stages earlier this spring before events were forced to be postponed. This Heavy Hitters event followed by one more July 10-15 on Lake Champlain will conclude the season. For the safety of all involved, fan events and gatherings have been cancelled for the remainder of the season. Fans will have the opportunity to get full event coverage live at MajorLeagueFishing.com. Standings in the abbreviated five-stage tour will count towards the 2021 REDCREST Championship qualification.

“After working with state, local and Public Health officials, we feel we can return to the water for two finals tournaments in 2020,” said Boyd Duckett, MLF Co-Founder and pro angler. “Fishing is an inherently socially distant sport and while we will miss seeing our fans face-to-face, the Bass Pro Tour can deliver the drama of live-action sports to fans, while participating responsibly in a phased approach to help restart the economy.”

Defending REDCREST Champion Edwin Evers currently stands 29th with David Dudley just ahead of him at 27th in overall standings with only a three-point difference between them. Both anglers sit just above the REDCREST qualification line which encompasses the top 30 anglers.

“I’m excited to get back to fishing,” said Evers. “It’s in our blood and for me to have the National Anthem go off and get back in the boat and compete against the best guys in this race for a REDCREST qualifier will be fantastic. Over these last few weeks, this competition has been missing from my life!”

“We are really excited that all of the anglers have the opportunity to get back to the competition and we can’t wait to see Edwin and David in the official return to action,” said TrueTimber CEO Rusty Sellars. “MLF has been a great partner for years and we love being able to be a part of these events. We wish everyone competing the best of luck and look forward to watching the competition.
