Naples, Fla., December 3, 2019. Azimuth Technology is proud to introduce the AZTP-22™ Precision Line of 10/22®style Barreled Actions, Receivers, Barrels and Components. Azimuth, industry leading manufacturing experts, produces exceptionally tight tolerances, consistent components for the firearms industry and specializes in increased performance and accuracy. The AZTP-22 Precision Line offers unsurpassed accuracy right out of the box.

The backbone of Azimuth Technology’s AZTP-22 Precision Line is the aerospace-grade 7075 billet aluminum receiver. Critical functional sections are CNC-Machined to tolerances as tight as .0005”. The AZTP-22 receiver utilizes a unique dual internal rail design that prevents bolt canting and an integrated Picatinny rail for extreme dependability.  

Each AZTP-22 Barreled Action features an AZT match-grade 12-groove precision button rifled .920” diameter fluted bull barrel, available in 4150 CM or 416R SS (threaded or non-threaded) and includes a complete matched bolt assembly with stainless steel firing pin and oversized bolt handle. Azimuth’s internal barrel team maintains exceptional concentricity from chamber to crown, dampening vibration for perfect barrel harmonics. All AZT barrels are finished with HydraLap™ - Azimuth Technology’s proprietary bore polishing process.

Each barrelled receiver is hand assembled, and precisely torqued to 20 in.-lbs, with witness marks applied to each screw. For MOA accuracy from a 10/22-style rifle, the AZTP-22 Precision Line delivers.

Azimuth Technology Announces Thomas Thacker as Chief of Operations

Naples, Fla., November 13, 2019. Azimuth Technology is pleased to announce Thomas “Tommy” Thacker II has joined the company in the role of Chief of Operations. In his new capacity, Thacker will oversee strategic projects, programs and the company vision, and provide leadership to Azimuth Technology’s operational team. 

“Tommy’s experience and leadership within the industry make him an invaluable asset for the Azimuth team,” said Len Zaiser, IV, Chief Executive Officer of Azimuth Technology. “Tommy has held executive positions in multiple companies in the firearms industry and will bring his expertise in commercial, LE and military manufacturing to Azimuth’s operations.”  

Most recently, Thacker served as the VP of Commercial Sales for Ammo, Inc. an Arizona based ammunition manufacturer. Prior, Thacker was President of Armalite as well as President & CEO of Devil Dog Arms. Thacker has been a driving force behind the success of numerous companies, including Timney Manufacturing, and FNH USA. From product design to testing, and from team leadership on the operational side to team leadership as a professional shooter, Thacker’s expertise in this industry makes him standout and a valuable addition to Azimuth Technology.
