INMAN, S.C. – February 22, 2021 – TrueTimber professional anglers and brand ambassadors Andy Montgomery, Chris Lane, David Dudley, Edwin Evers and Josh Bertrand have all qualified to compete for the 2021 Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour REDCREST Championship. Fans are encouraged to tune in and watch the action live on MajorLeagueFishing.com Monday, February 22 through Friday, February 26.
After a unique 2020 tournament season, the top 40 in Angler of the Year standings have secured a spot to compete for the title of REDCREST champion. Due to the recent inclement weather seen in Texas, the event has been relocated from its scheduled location on Lake Palestine in Flint, Texas to Lake Eufaula in Eufaula, Alabama. All 40 anglers will battle head-to-head to reel in the $300,000 first place payday along with ultimate bragging rights. TrueTimber angler Edwin Evers was able to bring home the coveted REDCREST title in 2019.
“We have put a lot of focus on expanding our fishing apparel line as well as the team over the past few years and it’s great to see it all coming together.,” said TrueTimber CEO Rusty Sellars. “Getting to watch five of our anglers competing for the championship is really something special. Edwin’s REDCREST win was such a great experience for all of us and we wish our newer team members the same luck.”
Due to COVID-19 protocols, attendance at the tournament is limited to competing anglers, essential staff and media covering the event. Fans can follow the event online through the MLF NOW!® live stream and SCORETRACKER® coverage at MajorLeagueFishing.com.
