Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Sponsoring ICAST ‘Lunkers and Bunkers’ Event

MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – July 9, 2024 – The world’s largest sportfishing trade show, International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST), is just days away and thousands of fishing industry folks are gearing up for lots of business and fun throughout the week of July 14 in Orlando, Fla.

“Lunkers and Bunkers”, a highly anticipated kickoff event for ICAST 2024, is scheduled for July 15 at Celebration Golf Club. This networking event will host more than 120 fishing industry professionals who will play a round of golf, with each group fishing four designated ponds throughout the course. Proceeds from this event, powered by the American Sportfishing Association, go towards Keep America Fishing.

Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation (OSCF) is proud to be sponsoring the “Closest to the Pin” tee shot during this fun networking event. OSCF will be presenting special awards to both the woman and man that have the closest to the pin shot from Hole #5 at Celebration Golf Club.

OSCF’s Executive Director, Jim Curcuruto, notes “The folks at ASA know how to put on a great event. ICAST is a terrific mix of business and pleasure and we are proud to be a sponsor of the ‘Lunkers and Bunkers’ event.”

OSCF staff will be attending the ICAST conference immediately following the Lunkers and Bunkers event, and will be meeting with fishing industry professionals to discuss promoting the positive contributions of anglers, as well as discussing preliminary results from an OSCF research project on how youth fishing programs can create long term avid anglers.
