INMAN, S.C. – July 17, 2024 – TrueTimber, the world’s best-selling camouflage brand, has announced a new project with Veteran Golfers Association (VGA) to develop a series of all-new camouflage patterns. TrueTimber is passionate about supporting those who have served in the United States Military, with a portion of the proceeds from the sale of these new camo patterns going toward supporting the VGA and its mission.
The VGA was founded in 2014 with the goal of improving the quality of life for our Nation’s veterans and their families. Utilizing golf as an avenue, the VGA provides a space for members to compete, socialize and remain physically active following their time spent in service. The VGA hosts over 450 local tournaments every year, culminating in the VGA National Championship.
“TrueTimber is proud to continue to support the Veteran Golfers Association and all of our Nation’s veterans,” said TrueTimber CEO Rusty Sellars. “The VGA is doing amazing work to help our veterans recover from their time in service, and we are excited to see this partnership continue to flourish.”
Dunning Golf is the first supporter of the new patterns, as it launched a limited-edition branded golf clothing line which recently debuted at the Armed Forces Cup. The AFC occurred May 27-29, 2024, and consists of a tournament between the branches of military. The teams are made up of the VGA’s most active members, rewarding them with an opportunity to compete for their branch at the Champions Retreat Golf Club in Evans, Ga.
“Collaborating with TrueTimber on these new camouflage patterns is both exciting and meaningful for us,” said Josh Peyton, President & CEO of the Veteran Golfers Association. “True Timber’s support, through innovative products and financial contributions, significantly enhances our ability to serve and uplift our members. We’re thrilled to see how these patterns will help us further the VGA mission and bring more attention to the vital work we do for the Veteran community through the game of golf.”
TrueTimber has partnered with the VGA in the past to put its “Viper” camouflage pattern on various apparel and headwear, with this most recent partnership featuring four new camouflage patterns. “Fairway Viper,” “Fairway Viper with Tiger Stripes,” “Shadow Viper” and “Viper Skin” will all be available in multiple colorways.

About VGA
The Veteran Golfers Association started as an idea amongst Wounded Veterans at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, DC. Several friends routinely got together to play golf courses around the area to encourage each other to not only improve their games but to also heal through camaraderie and competition. After recovering from their injuries, these friends relocated around the country and missed the opportunity to compete against one another regularly.
The VGA is dedicated to enriching the lives of Veterans and their family members through the camaraderie and sportsmanship of golf. Annually, the VGA hosts more than 450 local tournaments across the country, culminating in a VGA National Championship each fall. Learn more about the VGA at VGAGolf.org.
