Shoot Like A Girl® Announces Hunt Like A Girl™ Contest in Partnership with Beretta USA

ATHENS, Ala. – August 17, 2021 – Shoot Like A Girl has partnered with Beretta USA to launch the Hunt Like A Girl™  Contest to give one lucky winner the opportunity to participate in a guided pheasant hunt in Kansas, October 12-15, 2021. This contest will give one entrant, who is new to hunting or who has never hunted before, the chance to experience the fall pheasant season for the first time with an all-female team from Shoot Like A Girl and Beretta. The winner will also receive a gear prize pack from the hunt sponsors. This experience is the second of three hunts planned in partnership with Beretta this year.

Contest Details

To enter for a chance to win a hunt of a lifetime, entrants must nominate either a friend or themselves for the grand prize by commenting on the contest post, briefly explaining the reason for the nomination via social media comment/message or video.

Shoot Like A Girl and Beretta will read all entries carefully and will be looking for a submission that is thoughtfully crafted. Nominations must be for an individual who is 21 years of age or older at the time of submission, must be a legal resident of the United States and have no criminal background (background checks will be conducted for grand-prize winner). The winner will also be required to sign a model release form, so that any photos or video from the hunt can be used online.

While everyone is encouraged to enter and all entries and nominations will be considered, Shoot Like A Girl and Beretta are specifically looking for an individual who is new to hunting or has never hunted before. The contest begins August 17, 2021 and ends on August 31, 2021. Entrants and nominees must be 21 year or older and will be selected on or about September 3, 2021. Shoot Like A Girl® 2021 Home of the Brave Tour Next Stop at Bass Pro Shops® in Springfield, Missouri

ATHENS, Ala. – August 4, 2021 – Shoot Like A Girl is taking the Home of the Brave Tour to Bass Pro Shops in Springfield, Missouri this weekend, August 7 and 8. Both new and seasoned shooters are invited to join Shoot Like A Girl at the state-of-the-art mobile shooting range for this free, interactive event. Certified female instructors will be on-site to share their extensive knowledge of firearms, shooting sports and safety with guests. The Shoot Like A Girl trailer will be open in front of Bass Pro Shops on Saturday, August 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, August 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sign in on Sunday ends at 3:30 p.m.

What to Expect

This unique experience is designed to empower women with confidence gained from aiming at a target and hitting their mark. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their families and young children to discuss and hear more about firearm safety.

Inside the range, attendees who are 16 years of age or older will be able to handle and shoot a handgun and long gun with guidance from instructors, using a state-of-the-art, military-grade firearm simulator which provides realistic recoil, impact, and sound feedback. Archery coaches will also be onsite to assist guests with shooting bows.

Outside the range, at the Shoot Like A Girl gun counter, visitors of all ages are welcome to compare a variety of disabled firearms, including revolvers, semi-automatic pistols, shotguns and rifles. Additional products from corporate partners will be on display, including optics, conceal carry bags, holsters, TrueTimber camouflage gear, SABRE pepper spray products and much more. COVID-19 Safety Precautions

Shoot Like A Girl has implemented COVID-19 protocols in accordance with the CDC guidelines. Fully vaccinated participants are no longer required to wear a mask or social distance while participating in the Shoot Like A Girl trailer experience. Unvaccinated people should still continue to wear masks. CDC signs will be posted, and surfaces will be cleaned regularly. Hand sanitizer will still be available (provided by Leadslingers Whiskey) for use throughout the event.

Shoot Like A Girl® Releases Second Quarter Report for 2021

ATHENS, Ala. – August 4, 2021 – Shoot Like A Girl has released its second quarter report for 2021, citing impressive numbers, growth and insights that will help drive the remainder of the calendar year. Hundreds of women participated in the Shoot Like A Girl mobile range experience in five locations across the Midwest. The trailer covered traveled 3,498 miles to introduce these women and their families to shooting sports, allowing the Shoot Like A Girl team to empower more guests in more cities. “The second quarter of 2021 came and went so very fast; especially compared to the same quarter in 2020, when time came to a standstill,” said Karen Butler, Founder and President of Shoot Like A Girl. “I look back now and am proud that Shoot Like A Girl was able to be on the front lines of grass roots initiatives; safely travelling to deliver the message of safety and share the confidence that comes with the shooting sports. We completed five more shows in second quarter.”

Reaching More Women in 2021

In the second quarter, 516 women participated in Shoot Like a Girls’ experience to shoot a pistol, rifle and bow during the Home of the Brave Tour. With stops at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s stores in Waco, TX; Wichita, KS; Council Bluffs, IA; Hammond, IN; and Lawrenceville, GA, the Shoot Like A Girl trailer covered a lot of ground in just a few months.

In addition to normal operations, Hunt Like a Girl was created to break down barriers so that women who wish to hunt, but don’t, find a way to feel encouraged and empowered to go afield. During three hosted hunts, women gained experience and confidence on their hunting adventures. 

Second Quarter Highlights

Shoot Like A Girl reached out to guests from the second quarter, and the results show 427 committed firearm purchases after attending the mobile range experience. Of the guests, 18% committed to purchasing a firearm in the next six months, and 38% committed to making a firearm purchase. Pistol sales are the most popular among Shoot Like A Girl guests, with 73% committed pistol sales. An overwhelming majority of guests will be making these purchases for home defense. During the Shoot Like A Girl Trailer events, Hunt Like A Girl found that 36% of guests said that they don’t hunt but wanted to. Shoot Like A Girl has hosted three hunts where female mentors, brand new, inexperienced and lifelong female hunters came together to share in turkey hunting adventures.
