ATHENS, Ala. – January 23, 2024 – SLG2, Inc. has officially released its 15-year report and is proud to celebrate the incredible impact made during this time. Founded in 2008 by Karen Butler, SLG2, Inc. has become a trailblazer in the event marketing industry, delivering exceptional results through interactive experiences and reliable market research.

Reflecting on the journey, Butler shared, "Creating this report has reminded me of the tremendous impact SLG2 Inc. has had on me. The story of SLG2, Inc. began before its official establishment in 2008. Butler's vision to introduce women to shooting sports was born out of her own experience and new found confidence. Together with her husband, Todd, they sketched out ideas on napkins and sold pink t-shirts with the phrase, "I Shoot Like A Girl" at archery tournaments in Colorado.

Today, SLG2, Inc. consists of four successful brands that cater to different aspects of the shooting industry.

Shoot Like A Girl, established in 2008, offers women the opportunity to shoot a pistol, rifle, and bow in a safe controlled environment. It has become an iconic experience, utilizing a semi-tractor trailer virtual mobile range.

SLG2 Consulting, established in 2018, provides market research and consulting services to develop strategies for partners.

Hunt Like A Girl, established in 2020, empowers women through outdoor experiences, promoting the great outdoors.

Safe LivinG, established in 2023, focuses on personal security and firearm safety.

Over the past 15 years, Shoot Like A Girl has had the privilege of hosting more than 36,500 guests in their SLG2, Inc. experiences. Archery introductions served as the foundation of the company, with a significant percentage of guests expressing interest in purchasing a bow, only 36% of guests did not plan to purchase a bow and 17% already owned a bow.

Since the addition of firearms were introduced in the Shoot Like A Girl program in December 2013, there has been an increase in sales and planned purchases of firearms. A recent survey revealed that 41% of guests have purchased one or more guns following their experience. 27% of guests have expressed their intention to purchase a firearm, while 25% already owned one prior to their experience. An overwhelming 92% of guests reported a positive impact from their experience with SLG2, Inc.

The Golden Bullseye award winners are carefully selected by a committee of NRA editors and veteran publications staff. This recognition highlights the dedication and commitment of SLG2, Inc’s leader to create a stronger camaraderie among women in the shooting sports community. This inclusive mindset has proven to be instrumental in overcoming opposition and fostering a supportive environment for all.
