National Deer Association Partners with Outdoor Industry Communication Council to Amplify Conservation Content

November 3, 2023 – The National Deer Association (NDA) is proud to partner with the Outdoor Industry Communication Council (OICC) on its coordinated communications plan as a part of their conservation education campaign. This OICC Initiative plans to produce and release content every month which aims to send out unified messaging to hunters, shooters, anglers and outdoorsmen to amplify US conservationist efforts and knowledge.

“This coordinated messaging plan is a great way to reach hunters, anglers, trappers and shooters on issues that anyone in the outdoors industry would resonate with,” said NDA’s President and CEO Nick Pinizzotto. “We’re thrilled to take part in raising awareness on topics that aim to educate and better protect our habitats. We look forward to sharing all the content that is produced as this plan unfolds.”

Follow along the coordinated messaging to learn about topics including: an overview of the outdoor industry's $80 billion economic impact, details of the 400,000 American jobs that are created or sustained by the outdoor industry and how a single hunter's seasonal purchases help fund wildlife management. Additional features profile a production-line manager at a firearms manufacturer, how to get started in recreational shooting, and how to recruit the next generation of hunters and target shooters, and how to find a hunting outfitter. To read each piece as it’s released or to learn more about the positive contributions of hunters, anglers, trappers, and shooters the OICC visit https://www.outdoorstewards.org/outdoor-industry-communication-council-oicc/.
