ATHENS, Ala. – July 15, 2021 – Shoot Like A Girl is traveling to Utah this month to bring its state-of-the-art mobile range to new and novice female shooters during two exciting events. The first stop will be at Cabela’s in Farmington, Utah for a two-day shooting sports experience, July 17-18. The Shoot Like A Girl semi-tractor trailer will then travel to Park City to attend the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) Mountain Festival, July 22-25. Karen Butler, President and Founder of Shoot Like A Girl, will also be presenting during the RMEF Mountain Festival Live Stage on Thursday, July 22.
“We are so excited to welcome guests to these back-to-back events in Utah,” said Butler. “Both events are completely free to the public, and women of all experience levels are invited to experience shooting sports in a safe, fun and empowering environment. Cabela’s Event in Farmington
Shoot Like A Girl’s 2021 Home of the Brave tour will make a scheduled stop at Cabela’s located at 391 N Cabela Dr., Farmington, UT 84025. The event will take place outside of Cabela’s on Saturday, July 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, July 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Event information, including what to expect and frequently asked questions, can be found online.
RMEF Mountain Festival
The general public is invited to visit Shoot Like A Girl at the RMEF Mountain Festival July 22-25 at Canyons Village in Park City, Utah. Guests who are interested in learning more about Shoot Like A Girl, Hunt Like A Girl and ways to get involved in the shooting sports are invited to attend this free presentation. Other RMEF Mountain Festival events will include 2021 World Elk Calling Championships, live music, seminars from outdoor industry pros, live podcasts, vendor booths and interactive experiences. Butler will be presenting at the Mountain Festival Live Stage on Thursday, July 22 from 2 to 3 p.m. During the interactive presentation, entitled “wWish - Welcoming Women into Shooting and Hunting,” Butler will share more about her journey in the shooting sports. She will also share valuable lessons learned and give advice on how to ensure a new hunter’s first experience in the field is a positive one.
The Shoot Like A Girl Experience
At both events, guests who are 16 years of age or older will be able to handle and shoot a handgun and long gun with guidance from certified female instructors, using a state-of-the-art, military-grade firearm simulator which provides realistic recoil, impact and sound feedback. Archery coaches will also be onsite to assist guests with shooting bows. Outside the range, at the Shoot Like A Girl gun counter, visitors of all ages are welcome to compare a variety of disabled firearms, including revolvers, semi-automatic pistols, shotguns and rifles. Additional products from corporate partners will be on display, including optics, conceal carry bags, holsters, TrueTimber camouflage gear, SABRE pepper spray products and much more.
