Our Briefing
An up-and-coming optics company recognized the importance of the affiliate channel, but didn’t have the internal bandwidth to construct a robust program. Building a successful affiliate program is like going to the gym…you cannot show up here and there and expect to see any tangible results.
It’s a labor of love, and day-in and day-out communication and relationship building. Murray Road maintains over 1,000 affiliate relationships within the network and has a fully dedicated affiliate management team to facilitate content creation and ultimately DTC sales.

Insight
The goal was to increase direct-to-consumer sales and begin changing the narrative of the brand itself. The client was long recognized for their accessory products but were looking to increase their visibility within the optics industry. It was clear that there was a ripe opportunity to reach new consumers through an effective affiliate program.
The Solution
An affiliate program is not designed to be a “set-it and forget-it” marketing solution. It’s a powerful tool that should be re-sharpened, evaluated and optimized on a regular basis. Dedicated management allows for an affiliate program to start reaching its potential.
The client’s personnel who oversaw the program in-house had a plethora of additional responsibilities and thus never had the time to dedicate themselves to the growth of the program. Murray Road was able to seamlessly take over and recruit within the agency’s affiliate network to rapidly grow and expand the client’s affiliate roster.
The Results
After the first ninety days under Murray Road management, the client’s affiliate roster grew 90% and the monthly sales average increased 853%.
Over a dozen pieces of affiliate-generated content had either published or were preparing to go live. Flashforward a few more months to the heat of August, Murray Road posted yet another record month which increased sales 3,733% from in-house management monthly sales.
The Conclusion
Agency management of an affiliate program is a collaborative partnership.
