During his nine seasons of the B.A.S.S. circuit, he qualified for the Bassmaster Classic eight times, a testament to his consistency and talent.
In 1968, Dance expanded his impact far beyond tournament competition by launching Bill Dance Outdoors, a television series that has aired more than 2,000 episodes. Through the program, he has educated and inspired generations of anglers by sharing his expertise, ranging from bass behavior and seasonal patterns to rod and reel selection. Bill Dance Outdoors remains the longest-running fishing show in America, and his talent for relaying his knowledge to the audience has had a lasting impact on the fishing world.
