Communications Specialist

The Murray Road Agency is looking for a communicator with experience in public relations, communication and/or marketing. Day-to-day interaction with clients and media will be a pillar of this position. Knowledge of the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, shooting and boating is a plus—but is not required.

This new hire should be able to write with intent in regards to messaging, branding and audience and have a demonstrated ability to do so in a variety of subject areas/markets. This position will be located in Charleston, SC (In-Office).

Responsibilities:

• Direct media outreach and interaction

• Writing, editing and managing content

• Reporting, monitoring and metrics

• Client interaction and communication

• Event coordination and execution

• Distribution and coordination of multiple campaigns

• Manage media inquiries

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, communications, business, sales or related field

• 0-3 years professional experience

• A high level of attention to detail

• Skilled writer and editor

• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently

• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Comfortable on and off camera and in front of clients

• Ability to track metrics, follow up and execute
