OUTDOOR STEWARDS OF CONSERVATION FOUNDATION AWARDED FOUR TRADEMARKS FROM US PATENT AND TRADEMARK OFFICE

YORK, S.C. – March 13, 2026 – The Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation (OSCF) is proud to announce that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted it four official trademarks.

OSCF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving cultural acceptance of gun ownership and outdoor sporting activities such as hunting, fishing, trapping and target shooting among the general population. Through its efforts, OSCF has seen immense success in the advancement of acceptance while also increasing participation in these activities.

Its success has come by acting on insights gained from its research, leading to the creation of national programs and communications. OSCF recently applied for and received trademarks for the following:

1. ComeWith! [US Serial # 98438546]

Decades of research on increasing participation and bringing new customers to market have pointed to one common theme…personal invitations are key. When current participants and customers ask someone new to come with them to the range, waters or woods, it is a proven way to increase the number of outdoor enthusiasts. As a recent example, OSCF partnered with the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources during 2025 on a simple ComeWith! communication campaign. This campaign was immensely successful, generating more than 18,000 new hunting and target shooting participants.

2. Connecting with Conservation [US Serial # 98438525]

Communicating outside of the sportsperson community is the key to improving the general population’s cultural acceptance of hunting, fishing, trapping and target shooting. This has become increasingly important with the growing use of ‘Ballot Box Biology’ during these highly divisive times. In recent years, OSCF has led the way in communicating to those outside of the outdoors marketIts Connecting with Conservation video series and podcast, coupled with its Keepers of the Wild PSA campaign, have generated more than $10 million in earned media and 500+ million impressions among the general population.

3. Fill A Bag While Filling Your Tag [US Serial # 98438507]

Being good stewards of conservation, improving habitat and cleaning up the environment are all key messages identified by OSCF research that resonate with the general population, resulting in increased support. With partners such as Fiocchi USA, Ruger and the Alabama Department of Natural Resources, OSCF’s Fill A Bag While Filling Your Tag program has distributed more than 100,000 reusable, biodegradable bags to hunters, anglers, trappers and target shooters across the country. This program has assisted in removing tens of thousands of pounds of trash from green spaces and waterways across the country.

4. HATS (Hunters, Anglers, Trappers and Shooters) [US Serial # 98438571]

Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation focuses on supporting the outdoor industry and America’s 60+ million active hunters, anglers, trappers and target shooters. In an effort to streamline speaking or writing, “Hunters, Anglers, Trappers, and Shooters,” OSCF coined the acronym HATS.
